Bring home the simple pleasure of whiling away an afternoon in a coffee shop with a good book. This exclusive bistro-style mug celebrates a New York institution that has championed access to knowledge for all for more than 125 years.

Established in 1895, the New York Public Library was created by bringing together the resources of the Astor and Lenox libraries and the Tilden Trust. One-time governor Samuel J. Tilden (1814-1886) had bequeathed the bulk of his fortune to "establish and maintain a free library and reading room in the city of New York."
